OÜ Prenton was established in 2000. The past fiscal year was the company's twenty-second active year of operation.

The main activity of OÜ Prenton in the past fiscal year was the transportation of forest materials, forest management and support activities, transportation services, sale of forest trailers and manufacturing of superstructures for forest machines.

The largest partner is the State Forest Management Center, to whom we provide car transport and forest management services under a valid contract until July 2023. As a result of a public procurement organized at the beginning of 2023, we are concluding a forest management contract with the State Forest Management Center for the next period until 2028.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which began to spread at the beginning of 2020, on various industries and companies was different.

The forestry sector, where OÜ Prenton mainly operates, has not been significantly affected by the pandemic, but the rise in transport fuel prices had a direct impact on the company's profitability. In addition, the company had to adapt to supply chain disruptions and be able to procure stocks in such a way that the work of superstructures for forest trucks would not stop. 2022 as a whole showed recovery from the corona crisis.

The past fiscal year was most affected by the war in Ukraine that began at the beginning of the year, which created new uncertainty for the entire European economy. The biggest problem was manifested in energy supply security and OÜ Prenton's performance was again affected by the rise in fuel prices.

Despite the uncertainty of the economic environment, the sale of trailers and superstructures for forest trucks continued to grow in 2022. The transport of forest materials and forest management are directly related to the contracts of the State Forest Management Center and during the validity of the contracts, they ensure the company's operational security in this field of activity.

For 2023, we forecast the biggest change in the fields of activity to be a significant decrease in the share of forest material transport. Forest management continues at the same volume and we forecast a growth of 20% in the sale of trailers and superstructures for forest trucks in 2023 compared to 2022.

The biggest risks for companies operating in the forestry sector are the large share of public procurements, a saturated market, the connection of the wood industry with the rest of the economy, unfair competition, changes in fuel prices and weather.

In 2022, we invested 2,110,640 euros in tangible fixed assets. The fixed assets have been bought out, the company does not have fixed assets acquired under capital lease conditions.
