OtherKauplejalt ostetud saabastel läksid kuue nädalase kasutamise järel Boa kinnitused katki, lisaks olid saapa ääred läinud liimist lahti. Kaupleja sõnul on antud saapad mõeldud jahipidamiseks ja matkamiseks, mitte professionaalseks tööks metsas. Defektid on tekkinud mittesihtotstarbelisest kasutamisest ja valest hooldusest. Tarbija väidete kohaselt anti talle ostu sooritamimsel ebaõiget infot jalanõude omaduste kohta. Komisjon vaatles koos eksperdiga kõnealuseid jalatseid ning tuvastas, et jalatsite pealisnahk on tugevasti hõõrdunud ning kohati kergelt auklik ja narmendav, parema saapa siseküljel on tallal mehhaaniline vigastus ja osa tallamustrist on ära tulnud. Käesoleval juhul on kaupleja pretensiooni saamisel jalatsid üle vaadanud ning pärast tarbijalt täiendavate selgituste saamist asunud seisukohale, et kirjeldatud kahjustused ei ole omaduselt sellised, mis oleksid käsitletavad tootjapoolse veana, vaid vigastused on tingitud toote mittesihipärasest kasutusest ning valest hooldusest.

OtherTarbija ostis MatkaSport kauplusest meeste spordijope, millel liikus kohe alguses kinnituslukk veidi raskelt. Esimesel kandmisnädalal oli tõmbluku keskmises osas näha riide ja niidi paksenemist. Järgmisel hooajal oli jopel tõmbluku plastikosa riidest eraldunud. Kaupleja leiab, et tarbija ei tagastanud kaupa koheselt, kui märkas defekti ning sellest tulenevalt ei ole enam võimalik tuvastada, miks lukuhammastik lukuriide küljest lahti tuli.
