General information

SK ID Solutions (SK) specializes in international e-identity solutions. Although established in Estonia, we have branches in Latvia and Lithuania. We have offices in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. We are a partner of the Estonian state in issuing certificates for national identity documents (ID card, Mobile-ID, Digi-ID, residence permit card and e-resident Digi-ID). In early 2017, SK launched the popular identity verification solution Smart-ID in the Baltics. Our Mobile-ID solution is offered in addition to

Estonia also on the Lithuanian market together with Tele 2, Telia and Bite. We enable citizens of different countries to log into e-services and give electronic signatures. SK ID solutions serve nearly 1000 organizations, covering financial, healthcare, education and various other private and public sector e-services.

Our main activities: (cid:127) certification and timestamp service; (cid:127) development of electronic signature technology and applications; (cid:127) validation services.

SK was founded in 2001, our founders and owners are Swedbank AS (25% of shares), SEB Pank AS (25% of shares) and Telia Eesti AS (50% of shares).

SK's economic activity is not cyclical or seasonal. The company's purchases and turnover are predominantly euro-based, so there are no significant risks arising from exchange rate changes.

Events during the year

The trust services and electronic identity market in the Baltic states, where SK is actively operating, has remained stable for us for years. Our services are officially vital in Estonia. In Latvia and Lithuania, we are involved in financial services, among other things, so our indirect and direct impact there is very large. Major changes are associated with changes in local or European legal frameworks and are therefore not predominantly discriminatory or favorable to us compared to other market participants. The most anticipated event of 2022 was the amendment of the trust services regulation (eIDAS) in Europe, but it did not happen and the impacts associated with it will be left for future years. Such uncertainty has put the European market on hold and major tenders and projects were rather not carried out. In connection with the outbreak of war in Ukraine, in 2022 we also assessed the possible effects of a kinetic attack on SK services in addition to possible cyber attacks.

In 2022, we celebrated the 5th anniversary of Smart-ID, the 15th anniversary of the first Mobile-ID issue, the 20th anniversary of the Estonian ID card, and also 20 years since the first digital signature was given in Estonia. During the year, we expanded our international team and in December we had 80 talents working in three countries. And for the first time, SK's annual turnover exceeded 15 million euros.

At the end of 2021, we were in a situation where we planned to continue offering the Mobile-ID service in Estonia as a private sector service from July 2022, but in May we signed a 5-year contract with the Estonian state, according to which the Mobile-ID service will continue as a state-guaranteed identity document. For a better user experience, we made the Mobile-ID application process much simpler - now it can be done completely online. In Lithuania, we reached 400,000 Mobile-ID users.

Along with the changes to the Mobile-ID service in Estonia in July, we launched a new Mobile-ID website and introduced

a new visual identity for Mobile-ID. For the first time, we are bringing all Mobile-ID partners in Estonia and

Lithuania under one umbrella.
