Atria Eesti Aktsiaselts (hereinafter: Atria Eesti) is one of the largest food conglomerates in Estonia, encompassing the entire production chain from pig farming to the sale of finished products. Atria Eesti's subsidiary Atria Farmid OÜ is the second largest pig farmer in Estonia, owning a total of four pig farms: in Savikoti in Viljandi County, Teedla in Tartu County, Palamuse in Jõgeva County and Saverna in Põlva County.

Thanks to its pig farms, Atria Eesti is able to use mainly domestic pork grown in its own farms in meat products.

Atria Eesti, part of the Atria Oyj group, has three brands: Maks & Moorits, WÕRO and VK.

As they aim to be the preferred choice of the Estonian consumer on the supermarket shelf, they offer a total of nearly 300 tasty and high-quality meat products, mainly made from domestic raw materials.

According to a Kantar Emor survey, Maks & Moorits is the most pleasant meat brand in Estonia.

The company works every day to be a strategic partner to its collaborators and clients, offering excellent taste and quality, innovative product development, eye-catching packaging, supply security, safety and respectful attitude.

Atria Eesti's parent company Atria Oyj is listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. The oldest owner of the venerable company, a cooperative, was founded as early as 1903. The history of Atria Eesti dates back to 1910, when a slaughterhouse was established in Valga.

In recent years, the company has undergone a significant structural change and modernized its operations. All production has been consolidated into one factory. A large part of the equipment has been modernized and energy production has been replaced. Consolidation of production together with the installation of new equipment has enabled the company to streamline internal processes. The company continues to invest in energy efficiency and process optimization.

In the second quarter of 2022, there was a drastic change in economic activity. The price of electricity soared. Due to the war in Ukraine, several raw materials became significantly more expensive. The increase in grain prices was particularly sharp. As the company grows its own raw materials in its subsidiary, the impact of the increase in grain prices was extensive. The rise in electricity prices was followed by extensive increases in the prices of main raw materials - poultry, beef and pork. Over the year, the company's energy costs increased by 73% and raw material costs by 34%.

In the middle of the year, inflation in Estonia rose above 25%. For Atria Eesti, this meant a significant increase in input prices. Both product and service prices increased. The price increase continues to this day.

Despite high inflation and rising prices, consumption of meat and meat products did not significantly decrease in 2022. However, there was a shift towards the sale of cheaper products. The share of campaign sales also increased. With the easing of corona restrictions, some of the Horeca sales were restored. At the beginning of the year, the retail chain Lidl entered the Estonian market, mainly trading in imported goods, thus reducing the sale and production of local goods.

Atria Eesti's sales revenue in 2022 was 52,877 thousand euros, in 2021 it was 46,293 thousand euros, which means a growth of 14% over the year. Although a 14% increase in turnover in a highly competitive market is a good achievement, it did not cover the increase in raw material and energy costs.

The company's market share in volume for the annual period was 20.7% and the monetary market share was 18.9% (according to AC Nielsen data). The company has steadily increased its market share,
