Introduction

AS Pärnu Vesi's main activities are supplying customers with drinking water and managing and cleaning wastewater.

The company is designated as a water company in Pärnu city, Pärnu city settlement unit and Paikuse and Audru rural municipalities, Häädemeeste municipality (on Kalevi street) and accepts/cleans wastewater and supplies drinking water in Tori municipality Sindi city, Sauga small town and Tammiste village and accepts wastewater from Reiu village in Häädemeeste municipality.

Management

All shares of Pärnu Vesi AS belong to the city of Pärnu. The highest governing body of the joint-stock company is the general meeting of shareholders. The general meeting elects a council of up to 6 members, who in turn elects a board for the daily management of the joint-stock company. Leho Võrk acted as the company's manager/board member during the reporting period.

Customers

Of the company's nearly 8.6 thousand customers, the largest part is made up of private customers and households, totaling about 7.1 thousand customers, the second largest customer group consists of apartment associations (about 0.8 thousand customers) and various businesses and institutions (about 0.7 thousand customers). The company provides both water and sewerage services to most customers, however, there are also certain customers who only use water or sewerage services.

Customer service that meets customer expectations is one of the company's main goals. It is important for us to receive ongoing feedback on the quality of our service. Therefore, we constantly ask customers for their opinion on our work. In 2022, 1,794 surveys were sent to customers, 339 (19%) responded. According to the survey, there were 284 (84%) recommenders, 19 (6%) negative responses, and the total recommendation index for 2022 was 78.5%. The results of the satisfaction survey give us confidence that our activities largely meet customer expectations.

In 2018, the transition to remotely readable water meters was started, every year it is planned to install about a thousand remotely readable water meters and the end of the project is planned for 2028.

In 2022, 1,843 water meters were installed or replaced, including 1,025 remotely readable water meters.
