Bussiliinid (the company) is a subsidiary of AS Hansabuss, one of the leading bus transport companies in Estonia.

The company's share capital is 71,120 euros, the main activity is passenger transport by buses. The company's departments are located in Tallinn, Rapla, Kärdla, Viljandi and Võru. We serve passengers based on public line transport contracts, as well as on domestic commercial lines. We carry out charter transports both in Estonia and abroad. In 2022, service continued based on public line transport contracts in Rapla and Võru counties and until the end of the contract on 31.05.2022 on Viimsi municipality's internal lines in Harju county.

From January 1, 2022, public line services were started on Hiiumaa. The contract is valid for 8 years and the contractual line volume is approximately 5 million line kilometers.

In 2022, the company's sales revenue, including subsidies, was 7.5 million (2021: 5.8 million) euros, which is 27.3% more compared to the previous financial year. The largest part of the revenues comes from line and charter transports - a total of 7.1 million (2021 5.4 million) euros. Revenues from ancillary activities amounted to 0.4 million (2021: 0.4 million) euros. Of the sales revenues, 7.2 million (2021: 5.4 million) euros, i.e. 96.5% were received in Estonia.

The company's normal business operations were significantly affected by the sharply increased fuel prices due to the war in Ukraine. This mainly affected the lines serviced under the public line transport contract, which accounted for 76% of our main activity. We applied for emergency support to continue the company's operations due to high fuel prices. The application was only partially approved. The indexing of the transport tariff to cover the costs of public line transport contracts took place twice a year. The previous model did not adequately compensate for the increase in costs in the changed economic environment. As an important step, new quarterly contract transport tariff indexing conditions were agreed with the public line transport client, which would reflect economic changes more quickly and fairly. This change was implemented from the third quarter of 2022.

In 2022, we participated and were successful in the public line tender in Tartu county. In April 2022, a

public line service contract was signed with Tartu Public Transport Center, under which we will start servicing bus lines in Tartu county from July 1, 2023. The line volume of the new contract is 4.32 million kilometers per year. The transport service will be started with 63 new environmentally friendly Iveco biodiesel buses, the total investment cost will be 10 million euros. The contract is valid until 30.09.2028 and jobs will be offered in the new Tartu department to 100 people.

The volume of investments in the financial year was 171 thousand euros (2021: 1.4 million). At the beginning of 2022, the company employed 134 and at the end of the year 152 employees. As a result of the agreement set out in the collective agreement, bus drivers' wages increased by 5%.

The impact on the company's financial indicators for the next periods depends on the measures aimed at business activities and the results of indexing the current public line transport tariffs. The risk of interest rate changes is associated with the change in Euribor, as all interest-bearing obligations depend on the interbank money market interest in the eurozone and the margin. Additional tension is caused by the war that started in February 2022 and the uncertainty of how it will affect the general economic environment in the coming years. The court dispute over the reduction of the Rapla public line transport tariff decided by the client in 2020 continues, which has reached the Court of Appeal and the final solution is expected in 2023.

The main goals for 2023 are:

Starting the service of public lines in Tartu county from 01.07.23; (cid:127)

Servicing public lines in Rapla county until 30.06.23 and its correct termination along with (cid:127) the dismissal of employees;

Servicing public lines in Võru county; (cid:127)

Servicing public lines on Hiiumaa; (cid:127)

Growing the revenue of Tartu-Viljandi and Tallinn-Viljandi commercial lines; (cid:127)

Participation in tenders; (cid:127) Increasing the turnover in 2023 to 10 million euros.
