General description On 20.01.1998, Narva Vesi was registered in the commercial register as a joint-stock company with the registration code 10369373. The source of drinking water for Narva city is surface water, which is taken from the upper course of the Narva river 26 km away from the city at the Mustajõe water intake.
The maximum permitted water intake per year is 7,533.6 thousand m3. The water drawn from the Mustajõe water intake is directed to the water treatment plant in Narva city, where the raw water is brought into compliance with the requirements for drinking water and directed into the public water supply pipeline.
Groundwater is used for the water supply of the Siivertsi district of Narva city, which is pumped from the Cambrian-Vendian groundwater layer with one well pump. According to the special water use permit, the maximum annual permitted water intake from the Siivertsi well is 12.6 thousand m3.
For the purpose of supplying water to Narva-Jõesuu city, AS Narva Vesi owns 7 well pumps. The wells of Narva-Jõesuu city draw water from the Cambrian-Vendian groundwater layer. According to the special water use permit, the maximum annual permitted water intake from the well of Narva-Jõesuu city is 432 thousand m3.
AS Narva Vesi uses the Narva wastewater treatment plant to treat the wastewater diverted from consumers. Both the wastewater of Narva and Narva-Jõesuu cities are treated there. The wastewater of Narva-Jõesuu is directed there through a pressure pipe 11.6 km long.
