The main activity of the Üle consolidation group is the maintenance of roads and the surfacing of road surfaces carried out in a procurement procedure, and the production of bitumen emulsions. Business is seasonal. The more active time of economic activity is during the summer period, when the main road works and the production of bitumen emulsions take place.

The management policy of the parent company is based on compliance with and continuous improvement of the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015. Quality-related activity is aimed at achieving the continuous satisfaction of customers, partners, employees and owners.

Road management has a significant environmental footprint and therefore environmental policy is of great importance in company management. The impact on the environment can be manifested in the following: CO2 and dust emissions, the flight of various fractions, the use of electricity and fuels, and the resulting noise and vibration. The main goal of the group in road maintenance is to prevent or reduce environmental pollution, the efficient use of material and energy resources, the good husbandry and maintenance of machines.

The impact on the environment associated with the production of bitumen emulsions is primarily manifested in the heating process of raw materials and the use of electricity. The main measures to reduce the environmental impacts are monitored and controlled with certified production processes in accordance with EN 13808:2013; EN 12591:2009; EN 14023:2010 standards. The use of bitumen emulsions enables the use of mixtures in road construction and repair that can be used in a temperature range of 30 - 80 degrees Celsius. Our products help reduce the working temperature of materials used in road construction and repair, which contributes to reducing the environmental footprint. The work is carried out using

Pigipada's more environmentally friendly emulsions. Using Mössi technology, it is possible to open traffic to cars already an hour after the work is done, which significantly reduces car downtime and CO2 emissions and people's time consumption. For road maintenance, we only buy equipment with EURO 6 engines and the maintenance of the equipment is carried out in certified companies. In winter service, we use preventive anti-skid treatment on higher-level roads, which significantly increases traffic safety and reduces the cost of chlorides.

We have made all road maintenance internal reporting paperless and in some support points we use green electricity, which we produce with our own solar panels.

Transactions with customers and suppliers are mostly in euros, so the risk of exchange rates is not high.

The interest rates of the group's loan and capital lease transactions include the Euribor component. During the reporting year and after the reporting date, the rise in Euribor has not had a significant impact on the group's business.

During the reporting year, Üle's subsidiary Pigipada OÜ acquired a stake in the associated company Diotech OÜ for 1 million euros, after which Üle's stake in Diotech OÜ is 32.83% (2021: 16.75%).

The pandemic spread of the coronavirus causing COVID-19 worldwide and in Estonia has not had a significant negative impact on the company's operations.
