      Põldvutt on väikseim kanaline kaaluga 200-350g. Põldvutt kodustati 16. sajandil Hiinas.
      Aretustöö tulemusena on saadud maailmas erinevad vutitõud:
      • Jaapani ookerpruuni sulestikuga põldvutt
      • Vaarao lihatüüpi põldvutt
      • Inglise musta ja valge sulestikuga põldvutt
      • Marmorvärviline põldvutt endises NSVL-s
       
      FAKTE VUTTIDEST
      • On üks parimaid munejaid lindude seas, 250-300 muna aastas
      • Muna keskmine kaal 13-15 g
      • Emaslind on suurem kui isaslind (kaaluvahe 30-50 g)
      • Munema hakkab 35-40 päevaselt
      • Lihabroilervutid toodetakse lihaks 35-55 päevaselt
