Cleveron's mission is to make the handover of e-commerce packages significantly more efficient, thereby giving people time. Cleveron is a global innovation leader in the creation of robotic parcel terminals and the necessary software solutions for their use. The main activities are the development, production, global sales and maintenance of parcel terminals and robots. Cleveron's technology enables commercial and logistics companies to cope with the challenges associated with the rapid growth of e-commerce.

When using Cleveron's products, customers can store a large number of packages in a smaller area and after entering the order code, they can issue packages in a few seconds so that the recipient of the package does not need customer service assistance. Thanks to this, global retail chains and logistics companies save valuable retail space and their employees save time spent on handling packages, which increases the profitability of companies and the satisfaction of end consumers. End customers do not have to wait long to receive the package or pay for home delivery costs. In addition, the use of parcel terminals significantly reduces the carbon footprint through a significant reduction in courier car mileage.

The operating environment at the beginning of 2022 was just recovering from the uncertainty caused by the global outbreak of COVID-19, when Russia decided to attack Ukraine and war broke out. European e-commerce volumes fell by 12.5% in 2022 and strong growth of 22.5% is forecast for 2023. By 2023, the volume of e-commerce in Europe is expected to be 730 billion euros and its growth to 1.0 trillion by 2026.1

Despite the uncertain political and economic situation, there is still a large labor shortage in both the retail and logistics sectors and due to the high inflation rate, people's wages are also growing rapidly.

In the European Union, the average wage rose by 5.4% in 2022, which is the highest rate in history.2 This has led retail and logistics companies to a situation where the introduction of cost-effective technologies is crucial.

Division

On 01.04.2022, Cleveron AS was divided into two - Cleveron AS continued with its main activity, which is the development, production, global sales and maintenance of parcel terminals and robots. The autonomous vehicle development department, which has been operating since 2018 and includes nearly 50 people, was spun off from the company. The new company was named Cleveron Mobility AS, which has been renamed Clevon AS as of the date of preparation of the report. The purpose of the division was to further accelerate the growth of both business lines.
