SmartAccounts, a company established in 2011, has been primarily engaged in the development and sale of the SmartAccounts web-based economic software. Over the past decade, SmartAccounts has not only managed to maintain its position in the market but has also strengthened it considerably. In 2022, SmartAccounts welcomed 3600 new users and 3350 new companies, further solidifying its market presence. The development team at SmartAccounts focused even more on improving the user-friendliness of the existing functionality in 2022. Steps were taken to ensure that the experience of a new user adopting the software would be more comfortable and smoother. Several significant updates took place in the software in 2022, demonstrating the company's commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. The updates included extensive updates to the configuration of email servers, making the sending of documents from the application even more secure and reliable. In addition, we made significant changes to facilitate the sending of e-invoices via the Peppol channel. This step forward in the implementation of e-invoices made it possible to send e-invoices to all trading partners worldwide who have joined the Peppol network. The process of creating a new user was made smoother, and we made joining more comfortable for a new user. We added a new notifications page where all the essential information for the user is together. The activities for a new user were made smoother, and the entry of opening balances for both trading partners and warehouse products was significantly enhanced. In line with the law, updates were made, including changes to the tax-free minimum that came into effect in 2023 and the VAT rate for press publications of 5%. Social responsibility was also a key focus for SmartAccounts in 2022. Throughout the year, we contributed to charity, supporting organizations such as the Tartu University Hospital Children's Foundation, MTÜ Slava Ukraini, the Cancer Treatment Fund Gifted Life, the Charity Fund My Dream Day, and the Non-Profit Organization Estonian Red Cross. In numbers, 2022 was a successful year for SmartAccounts with 3600 new users, 3350 new companies, and a total turnover of 489,939 (a growth of 30%). In 2023, we will continue with software development activities, with the main focus still on improving the ease of use of the software. To make the software even more effective, in addition to the development of the software itself, interfaces with various external software are certainly in focus. For example, we plan to complete an interface with the Tax and Customs Board in 2023.
