Viva Futura Management Report 20241. Introduction

Viva Futura is a feminist and transnational organization committed to revolutionizing access to information on sexual health and (non) reproductive rights through hope-driven activism. We connect academic knowledge with feminism and activism, empowering individuals to become agents of change.

2024 marked the first full year of Viva Futura’s existence. During this period, we established our organizational structure, launched core projects, and built a strong foundation for future growth.

2024 was a year marked by resilience, hope, and courage. Globally, we witnessed both setbacks and advances in gender equality and bodily autonomy. Despite increasing anti-abortion laws and challenges to reproductive rights, we also celebrated crucial achievements—such as progress for abortion rights in Mexico and landmark legal victories in El Salvador and France. These global shifts reinforced our commitment to gender justice and the importance of collective action.

2. Key Activities and Projects

Over the past year, Viva Futura experienced significant growth as a team and organization. We expanded our impact by launching new projects and rebranding our core initiatives:

AbortionData.org evolved from an informational platform into a comprehensive global initiative, providing resources, support, and a network for activists, scholars, policymakers, and the public. The platform now features expanded country profiles, new blogs, and the Abortion

Environment Rating tool—a framework to assess abortion rights globally.

Viva Futura Hub was launched as a digital community platform for activists, offering guidance, courses, events, and gamified opportunities for engagement.

La Futura Shop was established as an online store for purpose-driven products that express feminist values and promote bodily autonomy.

3. Achievements

Welcomed 7 new volunteers, strengthening our team and capacity.

Successfully rebranded and launched new digital platforms and brand identities for all three core projects.

Expanded AbortionData.org with new country profiles, the introduction of the Abortion Environment Rating tool, and increased global engagement.

Developed and launched the Viva Futura Hub and La Futura Shop, including websites, social media, and interactive activities.

4. Digital and Community Impact

Social Media Reach:

Instagram: 1,600 followers, 27,500 views, 24,800 reach, 2,200 interactions.

Facebook: 19 followers, 163 views.

Web Presence:

Viva Futura website launched with 1,310 sessions.

AbortionData.org achieved 37,200 sessions and 25,200 Google clicks (a 4,582% increase!).

Content Creation:

New country profiles, blogs, and the Abortion Environment Rating tool.

Coverage of abortion rights struggles in Egypt, Lebanon, and Latin America.
