The main activity of Atria Farms OÜ is pig farming. Most of the production is realized by the parent company Atria Eesti AS. The company has four farms located in Palamuse, Savikoti, Teedla, and Saverna. In Palamuse, piglets are produced and grown up to 8 kg in weight, then the piglets are transported to the Savikoti farm, where they are grown up to 30 kg in weight. This is followed by a fattening period in Teedla and Saverna pig farms. Some piglets are grown for slaughter at the premises of contractual partners or contractors. As of 31.12.2022, Atria Farms OÜ had 31,922 pigs in its farms (as of 31.12.2021, there were 33,663 pigs).

The average number of employees in the company in 2022 was 40 (in 2021, the average number of employees was 40).

The salary calculated for employees, including taxes, was 829 thousand euros in 2022 and 793 thousand euros in 2021.

The company's operations in 2022 were most affected by global events, namely the increase in grain prices due to the war in Ukraine. The biggest cost item for Atria Farms is pig feed, of which the most important component is feed grain. Against the background of the shortage caused by the war and general uncertainty, the company's feed costs increased dramatically. The Estonian grain harvest turned out to be of high quality, which in turn led to a shortage of feed wheat. Therefore, the company was forced to make changes in the feed recipes.

Farms OÜ realizes its production to the parent company and therefore changes in the purchase price do not affect the company's profitability as much as in the case of free market operators. Since the company periodically values its stocks at market price, the rapid rise in market prices led to a significant increase in the value of biological assets, which is directly related to the company's profitability.

The company's sales revenue in 2022 amounted to 11,098 thousand euros, in 2021 respectively 10,835 thousand euros. The total number of pigs in Estonia decreased due to unfavorable economic conditions, Estonia covers less than 80% of its needs, the missing part is imported.

Towards the end of the year, the company faced health problems with the herd, which resulted in a decrease in the number of pigs and a decrease in average weight. The latter in turn reduced sales volumes and turnover.

In the second half of 2015, African swine fever (ASF) spread explosively in Estonia, both among wild and domestic pigs. Although the situation improved slightly in 2016 and 2017, ASF

still exists in Estonia. In 2017, there were cases of the disease among both domestic and wild pigs.

Since 2018, it has been possible to avoid cases of the disease among domestic pigs. Despite this, the risk for the company is higher than usual, as the disease still exists in nature.

The net profit of Atria Farms OÜ in 2022 was 182 thousand euros, in 2021 it was 399 thousand euros. The revaluation of biological assets had a significant impact on the company's financial results. In 2022, the company received various subsidies, which are included in the financial results.

The company has a board with three (3) members, and two (2) procurators. The company is represented by two board members jointly. The procurator can represent the company only together with a board member.
