OÜ Araxes was established on 01.04.2019. OÜ Araxes deals with the sale of alcohol and tobacco products. Araxes OÜ is a reliable and proven chain of alcohol stores over the years - 36 renovated stores across Estonia, offering only quality products and fast service.

Main changes in 2022: The company's strategy for 2022 was shaped by: increasing the turnover of existing stores and reorganizing processes; monitoring market trends and changes, developing new store concepts.

As some goods were left out of the selection, new suppliers were sought and attempts were made to bring new products to the market. In 2022, electricity and room rental prices rose sharply, after which we had to slightly raise the prices of the most popular types of goods. Electricity costs were reviewed in each store - long-term contracts were concluded with Eesti Energia AS, heating systems were updated. To reduce costs, we implemented the following actions - energy-saving lamps and motion sensors were installed in stores and warehouses, the temperature was raised in freezers or turned off for the winter period.

Economic environment

The development of trade is closely related to general economic growth and environment. According to the latest economic forecast of the Bank of Estonia, the Estonian economy will return to growth next year, but after a two-year decline, the recovery will be slow. At the same time, a very rapid price increase in Estonia has ended. The price increase in Estonia is expected to average 9.4% this year and 3.4% next year. The economy is driven by an improvement in purchasing power both in Estonia and in export markets, but the slow recovery of purchasing power will only allow a 1.4% economic growth next year. Inflation continues to slow down. The easing of several cost pressures, especially in the case of industrial and food raw materials, energy and transport price decreases, and interest rate increases have begun to limit the growth of consumer spending.

As a result, price growth has also slowed down significantly. The appreciation of the euro exchange rate also slows down price growth. By August, consumer price inflation, which had fallen to 4.6%, will remain between 4-5% until the end of this year. Next year, the consumer basket will increase by 3.4%, with most of the price increase coming from the increase in VAT. Estonian companies have had and will continue to have to cope with faster cost growth than competitors.

Revenues, costs and profit The profit for 2022 amounted to 697 thousand euros and sales revenue to 31,264 thousand euros from: retail sale of alcoholic beverages - 78%, retail sale of tobacco products - 18%, advertising services - 4%. The company's sales revenue increased by 7.6% compared to 2021.

The company successfully continued to develop the business and the well-thought-out sales department ensured that important customers did not disappear and cash flows remained at the necessary level. The volume of costs during the reporting period amounted to 30,571 thousand euros: of these 90% - purchased goods and services, 7% - labor costs, 3% - various operating costs.

Investments

A total of 171 thousand euros was invested in tangible fixed assets during the reporting year. Cosmetic repairs and interior refreshments were made in the following stores - Mustamäe 116, Nurga 5, Tuulika, Vilde 101, Pae 20, Võidu pst 10
