We are a regional coordination centre, established in cooperation between the Baltic network companies to support the operation and security of the regional electricity system. Our work is based on professional cooperation and with the aim of providing reliable technical support to neighbouring networks and their operators.

The management of the Baltic electricity system involves several countries and operational parties, resulting in differences in planning, recovery and crisis response approaches and the calculation of cross-border volumes. These discrepancies and coordination needs pose risks that need to be addressed at regional level.

Our task is to simplify and harmonise this coordination: to provide common data sets and analyses, to support joint planning, to help clarify crisis scenarios and to improve operational preparedness through exercises and certification. We are working on practical and region-specific solutions that help the parties to make more informed decisions.

We differ because we work in close partnership with three Baltic network companies and operate within the framework of the European Regional Coordination Centre. Transparency, data security and the ability to adapt to local conditions and common objectives are at the heart of our activities.

We are working to ensure that security of supply and cooperation in the Baltic region become more consistent: clearer limit values, integrated crisis plans and the readiness of the strengthened parties help reduce the risks of interruptions and accelerate recovery.
