Why do I still engage in real estate transactions after managing offices and training?
Reflecting on my 17-year journey in the real estate world, it’s sometimes hard to believe I’ve been in this field for so long. I’ve managed several offices, trained hundreds of brokers, and led my own brands. I’ve helped create and develop real estate careers and many companies. In between, as often happens, I felt the need for a change and ventured into the beauty industry. However, I am continually drawn back to real estate because I love my work and have a passion for this field.

My Journey into Real Estate Began Quite by Chance!

My journey in real estate began unexpectedly. I once dealt with importing and installing children’s playgrounds in Lithuania. My company was doing well until one day I met representatives from RE/MAX at a construction fair in Vilnius. It was there that I saw the significant potential in real estate. Two weeks later, I flew to Denver for training at their headquarters, and upon my return, I had a preliminary agreement to open a RE/MAX office in Estonia. This happened in 2008, amidst the economic crisis—a time when many thought launching a new brand was a crazy move. And indeed, it was!

Tough Times, But Growth Happens During a Crisis

The economic crisis was a challenging period. Many companies and brokers exited the market, but I saw this as an opportunity. During the time when many lost their regular jobs, they were still looking for income. I recruited and trained a number of brokers, and despite the tough circumstances, our office eventually grew to 55 brokers. People still needed change—whether for family or financial reasons—and real estate transactions continued to take place.

A Highlight from That Time

One of the brightest moments from that time was when I managed to sell an exclusive house for a client at €40,000 above the asking price. Initially, the client had tried to sell the house for four years with various brokers without signing a contract. Without commitment, the sale didn’t progress, but once I took over the sale, I spoke with the bank and got a three-month extension to prevent the house from going to auction. I brought in 18 clients, one of whom was willing to buy, but at the last minute, another interested party offered more. We canceled the first deal and sold the house for a higher price. The first buyers were initially disappointed but ultimately ended up with the house they originally wanted. This experience taught me how important negotiations and dedication are— as a top broker, I must find the best possible solution for my client.

From Management Back to Transactions

I have been a leader in several offices. Management positions have provided me with invaluable experiences, but in recent years, I’ve started to think—why not do what I have taught so many others? I have trained hundreds of brokers and shared my knowledge about transactions and marketing. Now it’s my time to return to transactions because that brings me the greatest satisfaction.

Although I’ve started and managed several companies, real estate transactions have always accompanied me. In 17 years, not a single year has passed without my making a sale. It’s been a continuous companion on my journey. And the funniest part? My success rate in sales is 98%! I am very proud of this number because it confirms that I always give my best in every transaction.

Why I Love Working as a Real Estate Broker

I enjoy this work because it is so much more than just selling. I have witnessed how difficult situations can find resolutions through determination and commitment. I love negotiating, making decisions, and finding solutions. This job gives me the opportunity to constantly grow and develop—whether it’s discovering new marketing solutions or helping clients realize their dreams of finding a new home.

My 17 years of experience have taught me that it is essential to always be present and accessible to my clients. Whether dealing with an exclusive luxury apartment or a simple small home, every transaction is unique, and every client deserves the best service.

My mission is to help my clients navigate the real estate world successfully by providing reliable support and professional service. I love transactions and real estate, and I am confident that every new deal is a step forward for both myself and my clients. Reaching a deal is never easy, but it’s worth it—every smile and thank you makes this journey unforgettable.
