The joint-stock company Merktrans was established in 1991. The company's activities cover almost all areas related to the transportation of international trade of various goods. Merktrans was one of the first Estonian agencies and freight forwarders and achieved the status of a Baltic and International

Maritime Council member. In 1994, Merktrans was appointed as the official correspondent to BIMCO. In addition, Merktrans is a member of the Estonian

Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

MAIN ACTIVITIES.

The joint-stock company Merktrans deals with freight transport both in Estonia and abroad. Since 1997, Merktrans has been one of the largest freight forwarders in Estonia in terms of the volume of goods. We offer customers fully individual service at a competitive price. We deal with both transit shipments and the organization of cargoes intended for the local Estonian market. We cooperate with stevedoring companies, customs terminals and warehouses, and offer a wagon tracking service. We transport goods in both regular wagons and sea containers placed on the platform.

Ship agency.

The team of Merktrans AS has won the trust of shipowners over the years and we are considered reliable and efficient agents. Having strong ties and many years of experience, we offer services in all ports of Estonia and for all types of goods and types of ships.

In addition, we offer the following services: - Bunkering.

- Crew change and repatriation.- - Agency services for ship repair.

- Servicing of motor vehicles, yachts and cruise ships visiting Estonian and Latvian ports.

Transport services.

The department provides transport services for goods, vehicles, etc. The company has its own fleet, which is equipped with the online tracking system goGPS.

This collects data to get a healthy overview of vehicle location, routing, dispatch, on-board information, maintenance messages, running costs. Together with logistics workers, safe and fast delivery can be planned. All truck drivers are experienced specialists (more than 5-15 years).

2022 FINANCIAL RESULTS

The company ended 2022 with a profit of 75 thousand euros (2021 - loss of 593 thousand euros). In 2022, sales revenue amounted to 12,869 thousand euros (2021 - 19,495 thousand euros).

Ship agency (52292) accounted for 62.3% of sales revenue in 2022, freight forwarding (52291) 33.7%, road freight transport (49411) 2.7%, truck rental (77121) – 1.2%.

MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEES

The sole owner of Merktrans AS is Baltic Sea Bunkering OÜ (reg.code 10789632).

In the 2022 financial year, the board continued to operate in the composition of Aleksandr Kovaljov and the members of the council were still Aleksei Mürisep (chairman),

Aleksei Tšulets and Rein Küttim. Fees with taxes for board and council members amounted to 276 thousand euros in 2022 (2021 - 132 thousand euros).
