's activity report 2022
The main activity of AS Schöttli Environmental Technology is the sale, design, installation, maintenance and repair of wastewater and drinking water treatment equipment. Based on the need for comprehensive solutions, we have actively engaged in concrete work, construction of structures and buildings, design and construction of sewerage pipelines.
In our product range, we offer cleaning equipment and their details from individual water filters, small treatment plants and septic tanks to special solutions intended for large companies (meat processing plants, dairy processing plants, water companies, waste stations). We are ready to solve all customer challenges related to water and sewage, we can also help in establishing a sustainable heating system and treating the circulating heating water. Depending on the customer's goal, we perform all necessary work, from assessing the existing situation and designing to installing the system and later maintaining the equipment to ensure maximum security for the customer. To date, the company has more than twenty-five years of experience in this field and in addition to local organizations related to the field (EVEL, EVĂś, EVKIS, EKTL, etc.), we also belong to the German Wastewater and Waste Management Association (Deutsche
Vereinigung fĂĽr Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V).
As a design, project management and construction supervision service, we offer our clients the opportunity to design water and wastewater treatment systems according to their wishes and needs. During our previous activity, we have helped to develop and build several special solutions for water reuse systems, wastewater membrane cleaners, washing lines, steam and ultra-pure water (EDI devices) production, etc. Of course, we also help mainly with the development of conventional water purification technology and wastewater treatment systems.
Since 2004, a management policy has been introduced and continuously improved in the company. We have certificates
ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, which we follow daily. AS Schöttli
Environmental Technology offers products that are as environmentally friendly, economical and high quality as possible. In our daily economic activities, we follow all applicable occupational safety and health requirements.
The year 2022 was difficult for AS Schöttli Environmental Technology. The year was successful in terms of turnover, but
Due to the large increase in input prices and supply problems caused by the Russian aggression war, it was impossible to maintain profitability and the company had to suffer a loss last year, which was covered by the undrawn profit from previous years. AS Schöttli Environmental Technology continues to be a 100% Estonian capital-based company, offering standard and special solutions in the wide field of water and wastewater treatment.
One of the important works in wastewater projects carried out in 2022 was the reconstruction of the Ahtme wastewater pumping station on the order of OÜ Järve Biopuhastus within the framework of a public procurement, during which an automatic screen was installed in the wastewater pump and pressure and self-flowing sewerage pipelines and a new gate well were built, the pump tank was cleaned and reconstructed and the electrical automation system was renewed.
The largest and technologically most interesting object of 2022 was definitely the work carried out for the construction of AS A. Le Coq's technological washing water treatment building and biogas plant, including the construction of buffer tanks and anaerobic reactor technology. The design and construction work of the beer producer's biogas plant was completed by September 2022. In terms of its size, it is one of the largest projects in the company's history and despite various political and military challenges, the project was successfully implemented in cooperation with AS A. Le Coq specialists and all goals were achieved.
Innovative solutions were designed and implemented at the beginning of 2022 for the supply and installation of leachate treatment equipment for the new landfill in Timohhovo, Russia, during which two water treatment systems based on reverse osmosis technology were built, along with related structures, with a total cost of approximately 1,300,000 euros. AS
Schöttli Environmental Technology's subsidiary Ecotechbalt operates on a significantly smaller scale due to the Russia-Ukraine war (equipment that is not sanctioned is supplied and maintenance is performed on the supplied equipment).
One of the larger works in water treatment is the design and construction work related to the reconstruction of the Rummu well pumping station carried out under the contract with AS Tallinna Vesi. It is worth noting that with the mentioned pump, the water network of Tallinn city is extended to Pirita and its nearby settlements and high-quality drinking water is ensured all year round and regardless of the operation of local well pumping stations. As part of the mentioned project, the building and concrete tanks were reconstructed, a UV device was installed, stainless steel pipelines were installed and a new electrical automation system and SCADA solution were designed and built. We are grateful to AS
Tallinna Vesi for the excellent opportunity and cooperation to participate in such an interesting and strategically significant water treatment project.
A similar project worth almost 1,000,000 euros was the construction of the Alajaama water treatment plant in Rae parish with a capacity of 54 m3/h (maximum capacity in case of fire 108 m3/h). The client was AS Elveso.
