MELIVA QVALITAS AS's activity report 2022

Meliva Qvalitas AS is the largest and most experienced provider of occupational health services in Estonia.

In addition to this, we offer an increasing amount of high-level general and specialist medical services.

We are a healthcare partner to a large part of Estonian employers - Qvalitas' business client services cover professional general and specialist medical services for the prevention, early detection and treatment of diseases.

We serve clients in very different fields of activity, starting from large corporations and industry and ending with startups. In designing our services, we follow a patient-centered approach and help the employer maintain the health of their employee.

It is important for us to provide a high-level service, which is supported by years of experience, a valued network of doctors and specialists, and modern medical technology. Qvalitas has a wide service network with a total of 9 clinics in Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Jõhvi, Põlva and Võru, and 5 mobile health buses with special medical equipment.

Overview of the main events of 2022 1. Cooperation with the state

Covid-19 testing and vaccinations

Qvalitas has been an important strategic partner for the state in several projects, including the implementation of nationwide corona testing and vaccination. During the reporting year, covid virus-related testing and vaccinations significantly affected the first quarter. In the following months, these volumes were already insignificant - the vaccination and testing that fell off at the beginning of April brought a sharp decline in the operating result.

The situation required a quick reorientation and its positive effects began to show in the second half of the year.

Providing primary healthcare services to refugees

From March, we started offering initial health checks and emergency aid to Ukrainian refugees. To date, we are a partner to the state so that refugees who have arrived in Estonia can receive primary medical care, from November 2022 we are a primary health center for Ukrainian refugees.

2. Growth in the volume of specialist medical care 2022 was characterized by outstanding development in the field of specialist medical care. In addition to increasing volumes, we significantly expanded our offering of surgical specialties, launching neurosurgery and hand surgery as completely new specialties. The number of paid doctor's appointments increased by over 50% compared to the previous year.

We increased our diagnostic capacity, especially in the field of ultrasound and cardiological examinations, both in Tallinn and Tartu. In addition, we opened a new clinic in Tartu offering specialist and primary medical care.

3. Purchase of Mental Health

At the beginning of the year, Qvalitas acquired a long-term cooperation partner, a company offering mental health services - Mental Health LLC. This allowed mental health services to be integrated even more strongly with occupational health and specialist medical care, making psychological help more accessible to people.

We see that with the growing share of mental work and the impact of recent events, people's need for help has increased. In this regard, we notice a positive trend in the increasing desire of employers to offer their own
