In 2022, the company made several investments to offer more modern treatment options, as a result of which a large-scale renovation of rehabilitation facilities and equipment was carried out, and due to the need to modernize the equipment park, radiological examination equipment, including ultrasound equipment and X-ray, was replaced.

The largest investment in 2022 was the construction of modern and versatile rehabilitation and physiotherapy rooms in Punane 61, Tallinn building C-wing on two floors. Patients of the Medicum primary health care center as well as those in need of rehabilitation doctors can get help in the modern rehabilitation center.

In addition, the company continued to improve the premises and the building located at Punane 61, Tallinn, and made IT investments to modernize both the infrastructure and the network equipment.

In 2023, the company will continue to develop the MEDIS clinical information system in cooperation with its sister company. The system was implemented in the Family Health Center in the winter of 2022 in stages, after which the focus is on nursing, rehabilitation and radiology to enhance the necessary functionality and implement the solution. Then we move on to the necessary solutions in the field of specialist medical care.

In addition, plans are underway to start renovating the café on the first floor and to create commercial spaces for cooperation partners to offer assistive devices and optometrist services.

Key events and objectives

Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic that started in 2020 and continued until mid-2022, significant attention was paid to employee health and its protection in crisis conditions.

Medicum Health Services participated in the public covid testing project in cooperation with its sister company Medicum Specialist Medical Care and Synlab Estonia, and contributed its resources to the creation of the necessary software, call center and testing organization for the provision of the service. In addition, the company is a partner to the state and local government in carrying out vaccination.
