Construction of the new building of the Tallinn Secondary School - Nordlin Ehitus
The construction of the new school building of the Tallinn Real School is under way on the order of the Tallinn City Planning Authority, which will be completed by 2026. The construction project is managed by Kaupo Sild and the site manager is Malin Kisant. This multi-year project brings a modern learning environment to the heart of Tallinn, which offers students and teachers an inspiring space to acquire knowledge and comprehensive solutions for organizing sports and festive events.
House architecture and room solutions
The new four-story building will be the same height as the existing Real School building, with which it will be connected by a modern gallery. The architects of the building are Karli Luik, Johan Tali, Harri Kaplan and Ann Kristiin Entson from Molumba architecture office. At the heart of the architectural solution is functionality and integrity, which create a modern learning environment.
The school building contains modern classrooms, as well as a spacious and versatile sports hall that meets all modern requirements. A new square will be located next to the courtyard area, which is suitable for conducting physical education classes as well as organizing festive events.
Knowledge Square and green area
A new "Knowledge Square" will be built on the green area next to the building, which will be the entrance to the elementary school section. The green area will be reorganized and the landscape will be made more spacious and modern, reducing the front of the bushes and creating a space that connects the school building to the urban space. Students will have access to the green area next to the central library to the new building, making the area even more functional and student-friendly.
Completion and future outlook
The construction work is planned to be completed by 2026. The new building and the accompanying Knowledge Square are an important step in the development of Tallinn's education and urban environment, offering young people better opportunities for learning, movement and spending time together. The new building of Tallinn Real School will be a place where tradition and the future meet, creating the best environment for students for their development and success.
