The Cornerstone of Jakob Westholm Gymnasium
The Nordlin Ehitus team is delighted and honoured to partner with the Tallinn City Property Department in the construction of this large-scale educational facility of historic significance to both the Kassisaba neighbourhood and the city of Tallinn as a whole.
As part of the project, the school’s historic main building will undergo a comprehensive renovation, while nearly 6,000 m² of modern learning space will be added. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2028 and will provide a long-awaited solution to the school’s space constraints. Once the new complex is completed, the entire Westholm school community will once again be able to study under one roof.
“Building this facility is a special challenge and responsibility for us, as we are combining modern construction, functionality and contemporary solutions with a distinguished historical setting. We are pleased to contribute to creating a future-focused learning environment for the children of Tallinn,” said Ülo Older, Chairman of the Management Board of Nordlin Ehitus.
The new modern complex will include a full-size sports hall, a theatre hall and music classrooms, art classrooms with a dedicated studio, modern craft and technology classrooms, as well as a new library that will also be open to the wider public.
We are carrying out the construction work in cooperation with our trusted partners. The extension was designed by AB Ansambel OÜ, while the reconstruction design for the historic main building was prepared by Ribbon Consult OÜ.
We would like to thank the Tallinn City Property Department for their trust and look forward to moving on to the next exciting stages of construction!
